Economics and the 5 Themes of Georgraphy
I think it is important to know about standard of living because it helps show what a place is like. By knowing a indicator about a country, I can tell something about that country’s standard of living. Knowing about standard of living also helps me know whether or not a country is somewhere I do or do not want to be.
Economics and standard of living can be analyzed using the five themes of geography because each theme of geography connects to economics. For example the location of a place could have lots of water, helping the population of people. Less people would be below the poverty line because they would have a source of water.
Another example is places with good trade routes can help them have more goods and services. This can give a place a higher GDP per capita.
A 3rd example is that a place could have lots of empty space. This could be used to build factories to help increase the GDP per capita of a place.
A 4th example is a place can have lots of movement by trains. This can bring in doctors and medical equipment though them to help raise the infant mortality rate.
Lastly depending on human and environment interaction, a place could have lots of trees, which then people could cut down and sell to get a higher GDP per capita.

5 Themes of Geography Map
Analyzing the world with the five themes of geography helps people better understand connections between people and the earth because it shows us what category things are put into and what they do for the earth. I think this because all of the themes show you different things. Like trade routes or different regions. And those things tell us what is happening and what a place is like around the earth, which helps us organise the geography of the earth.
Human and environment interaction is the most difficult to understand because in my opinion, adapt alter and use are very close together, which makes them hard to distinguish. If you alter the earth you change something on it. If you use the earth you use it to make something with. So in the end they do something similar.

The Problem with Everyday Maps

Jetrino Island
I find it easy to do map skills & compass rose. I find this easy because it's in my opinion, easy to look at a compass and see which way is north, east, south, and west. What I struggled with most was coordinates. It was more difficult because it involved mapping 1 set of coordinates on a place of the whole world. It is made difficult because you have to be exact with your latitude and longitude. Map skills are necessary because they help you find stuff on the earth, and once your learn them mapping and finding on the earth will be a lot easier. They help me better understand geography because they help me learn how to use a map properly.
